Sandalwood and ripe jammy fruits show in the nose along with a touch of vanilla and smoke from French oak barrel aging. In the mouth this Pinot is very soft, with velvety tannins. Dried cherries and smoke linger on the palate.
An initial smoky note from American oak is followed by fresh black fruits, giving way to redder fruits and mild tannins. This is a soft, easy-drinking rendition of Chambourcin.
This wine exhibits the typically intense color of Chambourcin. One finds aromas of toasty, spicy Hungarian oak and cherry. This fruit-driven wine has moderate tannins, and a lingering finish of toasted oak that will help it to age gracefully. Our Chambourcin Reserve pairs beautifully with savory meat dishes.
This medium weight wine is made from 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Think of it as a Veritas junior. This Merlot was aged in French oak. Ruby red color, nose of sandalwood, followed by vanilla, dried cherry flavors, and light tannins. Enjoy over the next 2-3 years.
A blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Petit Verdot. The nose exhibits the savory / herbal quality of Cabernet Franc, and plum fruit characteristic of Merlot. Subtly influenced by wood, evoking a bit of smoke and vanilla but only in the background. Silky tannins and a long finish. This is a very complete wine and should age nicely for 5-8 years.
