2005 Chambourcin Reserve $16

Gold Medal Winner at 2008 PA Farm Show! Twenty months in primarily Hungarian oak differentiate this 2005 reserve vintage from our regular bottling. Selected from low yielding lots of Chambourcin, we produced this distinctive deep color, intense aromas combined with an intense mouthfeel. The nose shows toasty oak, vanilla, and black fruits complete with a long finish. SOLD OUT as of March 8, 2008!

This is perfect for the red wine lover wanting something not too oaky and yet not too sweet. ( 1.7% residual sugar )

    New vintage of this popular red is now available! A medium sweet (3% residual sugar) red wine made from 100% Chambourcin. Chambourcin is known in the region as the Lehigh Valley's grape.     WE ARE SOLD OUT OF THE 2005 VINTAGE. Picked in December 2005 in frigid temperatures, these frozen vidal grapes are transformed into this luscious dessert wine... Enjoy by itself at the end of a meal, or with simple desserts (15% residual sugar).... Please check back later for news about the release of the 2006 Vintage.
